I’ve worked for the school system 23 years here at Pembroke – all of them. My children came through the school system here. My grandchildren, too. I was wanting to go to work where my children were at school and I’ve been here ever since.
I have lived in the same zip code my entire life – 23455 – seriously. I went to Virginia Beach schools: Bayside Elementary, Bayside Junior High and then Independence Junior and then Princess Anne High School. My kids also went to Princess Anne.
We love this area. I’m a true native.
Did you ever consider moving?
The only place I would ever move to would be to Florida.
